Мне пришло вот письмо
Hi,
My name is Fredorrarci and I write a blog called Sport Is A TV Show. I saw your comment on The Offside about the Times' list of the 50 best young players in the world, specifically on Masal Bugduv, who you say does not exist.
This made me curious, so I did some web searches. I noticed some stories from last summer saying that he was about to join Arsenal, and another that he was going to join Cork City, a team in Ireland (my own country). One report mentioned that he played for Moldova against Armenia in May 2008 and scored a goal.
However, on the match report on the Moldovan Football Federation website, there is no mention of a Masal Bugduv. Also, there is no mention of him on the Wikipedia pages for either Olimpia Balti or the Moldova national team.
I see you have a post on your blog about this Times list. Sadly, I don't know Russian. Do you have any more information on this? Do you know if someone just made this up, and if so, who? I would really appreciate you help if you're able to give it. I'd like to write about this on my blog (I would credit you, of course).
Thanks,
Fredorrarci
Чую я буду потом детям рассказывать легенду о том как я посадил Таймс в лужу)

'M'asal Beag Dubh' (pronounced masal bug duv) is Irish for 'My little black donkey'. M'asal Beag Dubh is an Irish language short story by Padraic O'Conaire which all Irish schoolchildren have had to study for the last 50 years.
I think you will find Masal Bugduv is a joke some Irish person has (successfully) played on the English sports media. Ask any of your Irish friends for confirmation!
All the best,
